Partial Solar Eclipse from Sweden

Partial solar eclipse from Sweden. It was stressful to find a place for this. The clouds rolled in and I headed off in the car towards clearer areas. Finally, when the eclipse had already started, I found a place by the water with less clouds. I could see the eclipse with the naked eye and photographed it without a filter. There is a risk of both my eyes and the camera sensor being damaged, but everything worked out.

Moon passing in front the sun

Earlier this year the moon passed in front of the sun and a partial solar eclipse occured. This was the view through the telescope, a closer look at the moons limb and the sun in Ha and an active area at the sun is visible.

Partial Solar Eclipse part 2

 Another shot taken 12.51 local time, the big filament is now behind the moon and the shadow is close to sunspot 2832. Orion 80ED, x2,5 Tele Vue Powermate, Canon Digital Rebel XT Hutech modified, expo 1/125s iso 100. This shot also shows the great prominence at the limb down right.

Partial Solar eclipse

 Thin clouds arrived but I manage to take som photos from the backyard. I actually used my old Canon Digital Rebel XT today, my very first digital astro camera, still going strong. Amazing to see the moon moving across the suns surface and to see a

great prominence, filament, sunspots and active regions.

The only view I got of the moon tonight. Just at moonrise I could see a partial eclipsed moon before the clouds covered all the sky.
