The Earth's extended axis ends up one degree from the North Star in the sky so with a longer exposure directed towards the North Star it looks as if the stars are spinning around it. The Vikings knew about this star and could navigate by it. During the exposure, some auroras were also formed low in the north.

Arholma by night

Det fanns fina fotomotiv på Arholma, speciellt i de gamla fiskelägena med byggnader från 1600-talet. Tyvärr var Båken upplyst och man är cykelburen vilket gjorde att det blev inte så många bilder på olika byggnader. Nu fick vi norrsken som bonus också och startar man en timelapse så vill man att den går ett tag och natten är inte lång nu, bäst från 23:30 - 02:00, så det blir inte mycket tid över att cykla runt och fota. Men det blev några bilder på lite byggnader, Arholma kyrka, kvarnen vid kyrkan och en gammal fiskebod.
